Girls Exploring Tomorrow’s Technology To Celebrate 25th Anniversary

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Girl’s Exploring Tomorrow’s Technology (GETT) is set to continue empowering young girls to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Join us November 1, 2025 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center for an unforgettable day filled with exciting and inspirational STEM opportunities.

Originally established as a free one-day conference in 2001, GETT addresses the underrepresentation of young girls in computer and IT fields.

“Girls and boys at these ages have similar abilities in STEM subjects, but this is the time when girls start to experience a decline in their confidence, interest or feeling of acceptance in these fields,” said Marianne Stack, CCEDC Project Director, ITAG. “GETT connects girls with local women leaders who show them first-hand how interesting and fulfilling STEM careers can be.”

GETT has grown to reach students across Southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond. Last year, GETT 2024 attracted more than 1,000 attendees from over 8 states and 100 schools. Girls explored architectural design, robotics, coding, healthcare, engineering, video gaming, environmental science, aerospace, information technology, veterinary sciences, forensic sciences, and so much more! Furthermore, 63 expo companies hosted tables, providing an immersive experience that sparked curiosity through interactive activities and mobile truck demonstrations.
