Last week’s ITAG meeting at QVC featured an engaging and practical session on AI with the theme, “Abstract Yourself from the Problem.” The event brought together a strong group of attendees for an evening focused on learning, collaboration, and connection, including an engaging discussion on AI and cybersecurity and a behind-the-scenes tour of QVC.
Our speaker, Tim Schwarz, Application Security Architect at QVC, walked attendees through how AI has rapidly evolved beyond simple chatbots into tools that can actively work alongside us to streamline tasks, support decision-making, and even run complex workflows. From basic prompts like asking for a recipe to orchestrating entire processes, the session highlighted the growing capability ladder of AI in today’s workplace.
A key takeaway was the importance of implementing the right guardrails, enabling organizations to move faster, innovate confidently, and leverage AI effectively without losing oversight or control.
