ITAG Launches Remote Programs for Autumn 2020

Following a busy July at ITAG as we continued to provide critical business services to companies dealing with pandemic-related challenges, closed our fiscal year on June 30, and with the ITAG Executive Committee worked to find ways to maintain strong tech industry connections and quality ITAG programming while socially distancing.

Joining the Call for Racial Equality and Social Justice

Like many of your organizations and other communities across the country, we too have felt a strengthened focus on racial equality and social justice. We echo the statements made last month by CCEDC. These conversations give ITAG the opportunity to recommit to our longstanding principles of diversity & inclusivity, while also challenging us all as individuals to live up to our values and reflect on how can each contribute to a more just society.

Recent Happenings

Here are a few highlights of our recent activity, including some upcoming events that I hope you will participate in:

  • ITAG partner Delaware County Community College hosted “Policing and Our Communities,” an interactive video webinar, part of the Dialogues for Diversity series at the college’s new Center for Equity & Social Justice.
  • In June and July, ITAG & CCEDC staff worked with hundreds of county business to secure Chester County Main Street Preservation Grants, which offered up to $25,000 to small businesses that have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. We were pleased that some ITAG members were able to benefit from this county program, underwritten by the C.A.R.E.S. Act.

A Pivot to Online Gatherings

Stay tuned for the next ITAG Partnership Meetings in September and December. We’ll be taking ITAG virtual for the first time. We very warmly invite you to join in as we talk tech, pandemic response, diversity & inclusion, and much more. We’re delighted to share that we’re bringing back popular TECH360 speakers like Brigitte Daniel and Ken Pyle. Registration information will be shared soon!

How Can We Help You?

As always, ITAG is here to support the growth of local tech companies, promote workforce development, and foster quality connections among our public, private, and educational partners. Please let us know if you have suggestions for additional ITAG programming, or if there is some way we can help you and your organization.
